Aircraft Structural Analysis Training
Introduction
- This course is intended to develop the candidates' knowledge and skills in aircraft structure analysis and to introduce the student to the basic and essential elements of aircraft structural analysis and provide them with some of the essential principle for the aircraft material failures. This provides candidates with solid foundation of forces and loads affecting aircraft in all conditions.
Objectives
At the end of course, trainees will be able to:
- Describe the behavior characteristic of element of static engineering system.
- Explain the effect of fuel expended on stresses developed in the wing.
- Determine the stresses on aircraft cabin due to aircraft altitude and cabin altitude.
- Identify the types of loads that aircraft fuselage and wings cope with.
- Identify the bearing members of the fuselage and wings.
- Determine the forces carried by each fuselage bearing members and wing bearing members.
- Determine the root causes of a material failure in an engineering system.
- Identify the parameters affecting fatigue life of a structure.
- Discuss how the fatigue life of an engineering system can be increased.
- Explain the aircraft design concept
