Knowledge of Aircraft Materials, Composite Materials and Testing Equipment

Introduction

• The objective of this course is to develop candidates’ understanding of the characteristics, types, strength limitations and uses of structural metals, Composite Materials and Testing Equipment. And be familiarize with corrosion types, effects and control.

Objectives

At the end of course, trainees will Be able to:

• Describe various characteristics which are important to consider of structural metals.
• Classify with the properties of materials and how they can be altered.
• Explain the types of heat treatment applied to structural metals, and their effects.
• Identify the types of tests applied ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Explain the uses, characteristics of aircraft composite structures.
